What Dronelix does with data

Dronelix is a study app for drone pilot licence exams, published by IOCODO LLC. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app handles and why.

There is no account

Dronelix has no sign-up, no sign-in and no profile. You never give us your name, your email address or your licence details, because the app never asks for them.

Everything you study is kept on your own device: which questions you answered, what you got right, your review schedule, your mock exam history and your settings. If you delete the app, that goes with it.

What the app does send

Dronelix uses Google Firebase to keep the app working and to fix it when it breaks. The following leaves your device:

These services assign your installation a random identifier. It is tied to the app on your device, not to you as a person.

Purchases

Dronelix offers one optional in-app purchase that unlocks every licence track. The payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card, your billing address or your store account. We only learn whether this installation is entitled to the unlocked content.

Reporting a question

The report button on a question does not send anything by itself. It opens a draft in your own mail app, already filled in with the question identifier, the reason you picked and the source the item cites, and nothing leaves your device unless you send that mail yourself. If you do send it, we hold the message the way we hold any other email you write to us. Please do not add personal information to it.

Children

Dronelix is a study tool for people preparing for a professional aviation exam. It is not directed at children and it is not designed for them.

How long data is kept

Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase under Google's own retention settings, which we keep at the shortest option Firebase offers for each product. A question report you choose to email us is kept until the item has been checked and corrected.

Your choices

• Study reminders can be turned off at any time, in the app or in your device settings.
• Resetting your progress from the app settings erases what is stored on the device.
• Deleting the app removes the local data entirely.
• To ask what we hold about your installation, or to ask us to delete it, write to us and include the date and approximate time you last used the app so we can locate the records.

Where data is processed

IOCODO LLC is registered in the United States. Firebase processes data on Google infrastructure, which may be located outside your country. Google acts as our processor under its own data processing terms.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change is announced in the app.
