Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
In brief: Torqen keeps your game progress on your device. It uses Google Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, so we can see which parts of the game work and fix what breaks. It also uses Apple Game Center or Google Play Games for leaderboards and achievements. You do not need an IOCODO account, and we never ask for your name or email address.
1. General Information
Torqen ("the App") is a mobile application developed and published by IOCODO LLC ("we", "our", "us").
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
2. Local Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores data locally on your device so it can remember your progress and preferences between sessions. This covers:
- Garage upgrades, unlocked parts, and your coin balance
- Best distances, best scores, and your personal-best pace trace
- Daily streak and daily challenge state
- Settings you have configured within the App, such as audio and race length
This local data is stored through the operating system's local app storage. We do not receive it on IOCODO servers.
3. No IOCODO Account Required
You can use Torqen without creating an IOCODO account, without providing your name or email address to us, and without logging in to any IOCODO-operated service.
4. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google. We use them to understand how the game is played and to find and fix crashes.
What these services collect:
- Anonymous usage events, for example when a run starts, how it ended, how long it lasted, and which screens you opened
- A randomly generated app instance identifier, which is not your name and is not linked to any account
- Device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language, country, and app version
- Crash reports, including the stack trace and the state of the app at the moment it stopped working
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or the contents of any file on your device. We use these reports in aggregate to improve the game. Google processes this data under its own terms, described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
5. Advertising
The App includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. When advertising is active, Google may use an advertising identifier to select and measure ads, and on iOS it will ask for your permission first through the system tracking prompt. You can reset or limit that identifier at any time in your device settings, under Privacy on iOS or Ads on Android. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves.
6. Platform Game Services
The App uses Apple Game Center on iOS and Google Play Games Services on Android for leaderboards and achievements. When you are signed in to one of those services, your scores and unlocked achievements are submitted to it under your platform gaming profile, which is controlled by Apple or Google and not by us. Signing in is optional. If you are not signed in, the game runs normally and your scores stay on your device.
7. Remote Configuration and App Check
The App uses Firebase Remote Config to read its own settings, such as whether a newer version is available and whether a feature should be switched off. The App asks Google's servers for that settings file and applies it locally. It does not send us anything about you in the process, beyond the ordinary technical details of making a network request.
It also uses Firebase App Check, which asks Apple or Google to confirm that the request really came from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App on a real device. This checks the App, not you. On iOS it uses Apple App Attest and on Android it uses Google Play Integrity, and neither returns your identity to us.
8. Network Requests and Third-Party Services
As a mobile app distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, the App may interact with these platform services in the ordinary course of installation, updates, and in-app purchase validation where applicable. Such interactions are governed by the platform provider's own privacy policies.
We do not operate our own servers for Torqen. We have no cloud saves and no proprietary online profiles. The analytics and crash data described above is held by Google on our behalf, not on IOCODO infrastructure.
Important: Even when we do not receive your data ourselves, platform providers you interact with (Apple, Google) may process data under their own policies. Please review those policies directly if you need provider-specific details.
9. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. The analytics, crash, advertising, and platform gaming data described above is processed by Google and Apple as service providers, under their own policies.
10. Your Choices
- You can use Torqen without providing any personal information to IOCODO.
- You can manage your platform privacy settings (Apple ID, Google account) through your device settings.
- You can remove locally stored Torqen data by uninstalling the App, subject to any device backup behavior controlled by Apple or Google.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
