Privacy Policy

1. General Information

Loquio ("the App") is a free application that teaches American Sign Language (ASL) through lessons, spaced-repetition review, and a camera-based sign check. It is developed and published by IOCODO LLC ("we", "our", "us").

Loquio does not require an account, a name, or an email address to learn. This Privacy Policy explains what the App processes, why, and how you can remove it.

2. The Camera and On-Device Processing

Loquio asks for camera permission only when you open a lesson's sign check. The camera feed is used to compare your handshape, place, movement and palm orientation against the reference form for that sign. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your camera frames are never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can deny or revoke camera access at any time in your device settings; without it, the sign check simply cannot run.

3. Anonymous Identifier

On first launch, Firebase gives your installation a random, anonymous identifier. It carries no name, email address, or phone number, and we cannot identify you personally from it.

4. Analytics and Crash Diagnostics

Loquio uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to understand how the App performs. These collect technical data such as your device model, operating system version, app version, coarse country, and usage events (for example, which lesson you opened). None of this carries your name, email address, or contact details.

5. Sign Reports

If you report a problem with a sign, Loquio sends us a short report containing the sign id, the note you choose to write, the app version and your anonymous identifier. It carries no name, email address, or contact detail, and is used only to review and correct the sign. Reporting is always optional.

6. What Loquio Does Not Collect

• No name
• No email address
• No account or password
• No contacts
• No precise location

7. Data Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained under Firebase's own default retention periods. Sign reports are retained until they are reviewed and resolved, after which they are deleted.

8. Third-Party Services

Loquio talks to the following third parties during normal operation:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, and the anonymous installation identifier)
• Google Fonts (used only by this website, not by the App itself)

9. Children's Privacy

Loquio is a general-audience education app. It requires no account and asks for no personal detail in order to learn, so it suits learners of any age under the supervision appropriate to their context. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your Rights and How to Delete Your Data

You can erase what Loquio holds about your installation at any time:

• In-app: open Settings and tap Delete all my data, then confirm.
• By email: write to support@iocodo.com.

Step-by-step details are on the delete your data page. Any remaining copy in our backend systems is removed within 30 days. Crash reports are held for up to 90 days and then deleted.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will update the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after a change is posted means you accept the updated policy.
