Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Russio ("the App"), an app that teaches English speakers the Russian alphabet and language, published by IOCODO LLC ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the App. Where these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict, the Apple Standard EULA governs for installations obtained through the App Store.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial learning.

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where local law expressly permits
• Modify, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the App or any part of it
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App in a way that violates applicable law or these Terms

3. Free and Paid Content

The App uses a freemium model:

• Free forever: the full Cyrillic alphabet module and the A1 (Survival) level, including spaced-repetition review of everything you learn there.
• Russio Pro: unlocks the A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 levels (vocabulary, grammar, and the graded reader), with no advertising.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Russio Pro is available as the following products, sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• Russio Pro Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription billed once per month.
• Russio Pro Annual — an auto-renewing subscription billed once per year, which may include an introductory free trial.
• Russio Pro Lifetime — a single one-time purchase that unlocks Russio Pro permanently and does not auto-renew.

The exact price, billing period, and any introductory offer are shown in the App before you confirm a purchase, in your local currency.

Auto-renewal terms (subscriptions):

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• A subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the chosen plan.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your device account settings (Apple: Settings › your name › Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store › Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Restoring purchases: if you reinstall the App or change devices, use Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen to restore your existing entitlement.

Refunds are handled by the platform you purchased from, under Apple's or Google's respective policies. We do not separately process payments and cannot issue platform refunds directly.

5. Accounts

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to learn. To back up your learning progress, the App may sign you in anonymously. Your purchase entitlement is tied to your Apple App Store or Google Play account, not to any account we hold. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, learning content, art, audio, and design, is owned by IOCODO LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved.

7. Learning Content

Russio's lessons are prepared with care, but language learning involves judgement and the App is a study aid, not a guarantee of any specific result or certification. If you spot a mistake, you can report it in the App ("Something looks wrong?") and we will review it.

8. Updates

We may release updates that fix bugs, add content or levels, and change features. Updates are delivered through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Some updates may be required to keep the App working correctly.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IOCODO LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, including loss of progress or data. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App or Russio Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription period already paid.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which IOCODO LLC is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Where local consumer-protection law gives you stronger rights, those rights prevail.
