Before you write
Four details let us reproduce almost any problem on the first try:
- Your device model and its operating system version
- The app version, shown at the bottom of the Settings screen
- The stations or route involved, with the exact names you typed
- The date and time of the search, and what you expected instead
Common questions
Where do the times and platforms come from?
From the Swiss public transport open data service at transport.opendata.ch, which is fed by the operators themselves. Departures, platforms and delays are shown exactly as the operator publishes them, so the app is as current as the official boards.
A delay or platform looks wrong.
Pull down to refresh first: the screen keeps the last loaded result until you do. If it is still wrong, the operator feed is the source, and platform changes made in the last minutes before departure sometimes reach the boards on the station before the feed. Send us the station, date and time and we check what the feed returned.
A station is not found.
Type the official station name rather than the city label, for example "Zürich HB" instead of "Zurich main station". Suggestions appear after three letters. Accents are optional, "Zurich" finds "Zürich".
Nearby stations shows nothing.
That feature needs location permission. On iOS, Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Swiss Transport. On Android, Settings › Apps › Swiss Transport › Permissions › Location. Your coordinates are sent to the open data service only to answer that one lookup, and are never stored by us.
My favourites disappeared.
Favourites live on the device, not on a server, because the app has no account. Deleting the app, clearing its storage or moving to a new phone removes them, and they cannot be restored from our side. Re-adding a route takes one tap on the star.
Is there a paid version?
No. Every feature is free for everyone and there is no account to create. If you want to chip in, Settings has a Support the app entry where you can leave a one-off tip. The tip unlocks nothing, and without it you are missing nothing.
I left a tip and want my money back.
You paid through the App Store or Google Play, so the refund goes through them too, under each store’s rules. Send us your receipt and we point you at the right form.
What are service alerts, and how do I turn them off?
Rare notices sent when a major disruption hits the Swiss network, a handful of times a year. They are optional. Turn them off in the app Settings, or in your device notification settings for Swiss Transport.
Can I change the language?
The app follows your device language and can be set manually in Settings. English, German, French, Italian and Spanish are available.
Does it work outside Switzerland?
Coverage is the Swiss network: trains, buses, trams, boats and cross-border services as far as the Swiss data covers them. Journeys entirely inside another country are not planned.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the app removes every route, favourite and setting from the device and stops all further data collection. To ask us to delete the anonymous usage and crash data described in the privacy policy, email support@iocodo.com and we action it within 30 days.
Report a bug or suggest a feature
Both go to the same place: support@iocodo.com. Feature requests genuinely shape what gets built next, and a good bug report with the four details above usually turns into a fix in the following release.
