Italio prepares residents of Italy for the Italian-language exam required for citizenship (CILS or CELI, modulo cittadinanza, level B1) and for the exam required for the EU long-term residence permit (level A2). It covers a learning path from A1 to B1, 1,500 words with audio and 55 grammar cards, plus the four real exam sections: listening, reading and use of language, writing and speaking.

The whole app works offline once installed.

A1 through B1. A1 is free in full. A2 matches the residence permit exam, and B1 completes the path the citizenship exam tests. Levels above B1 are not in the app today.

No. Install Italio and start learning immediately, with no sign-up and no email address. The app uses a private, anonymous identifier behind the scenes to back up your progress. You can link an Apple or Google account later if you want your progress to move to a new device.

A1 is free in full, along with the exam guide, a sample task from every exam section and one complete simulation. A single one-time purchase opens the full path through B1. There is no subscription, and the price is shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.

Open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore purchases. This restores your entitlement using the Apple App Store or Google Play account you originally purchased with.

English, Italiano, Arabic, Bengali, Urdu, Albanian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Spanish and French. The instructions and explanations are written in the language you choose. The exam content itself stays in Italian, because that is what you will be tested in. Pick your language the first time you open the app, and change it later in Settings.

Yes. Every word, grammar card, audio clip, reading text and exam simulation ships inside the app when you install it. Nothing is downloaded while you study.

Yes. When you record your own voice in the speaking practice, that recording stays on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and it is used only so you can compare yourself against the model answer. You can delete your recordings at any time in the app.

A simulation is a complete, timed mock exam covering all four sections in the real format. One full simulation is free. At the end you get a score broken down by section, so you can see exactly where to focus.

Use the report option on the lesson or exercise screen and choose the type of problem. The report carries the item, the problem type, an optional note, the app version and your anonymous identifier, with no name or email address. We use these to correct content quickly.

From the app: open Settings, then Account, and tap Delete account, then confirm. This clears your learning data, recordings and account on the device. The action cannot be undone.

The Privacy Policy lists every service the app talks to and what each one receives, including the Firebase services that back up your progress, deliver notifications and report crashes.
