Twelve questions, about three minutes. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is nothing to sign up for. At the end you get the level your Italian sits at today, and what that means if an exam is ahead of you.
This test places you; it is not an exam and it certifies nothing. Only the four recognised bodies (CILS, CELI, CERT.IT, PLIDA) issue a valid certificate.
The app opens at the level this test just found and walks up from there: words with audio, the grammar behind them, and each one brought back just before you would have lost it. If a citizenship or residence exam is ahead of you, its four sections and the timed simulations are in the app too.
Twelve questions, three minutes, no sign-up: find out whether your Italian sits at A1, A2 or B1, the level the citizenship exam asks for.
Italio is an independent study app by IOCODO LLC. It is not a government service, it does not represent the Ministero dell’Interno or any certifying body, and it cannot enrol you for the exam.
